“Wastewater engineer. Dad jokes included. I need a plus-one for Saturday.”
Thirty-two, from Buffalo, working at a wastewater treatment plant, where people say it's the most important job nobody thinks about. I make dad jokes with no dad. My brother's wedding is Saturday and I told the whole family I was bringing someone. I'm good for one dance, one terrible toast and a ride home. Sunday mornings I make pancakes shaped like Ohio. You're not obliged to like them.
Dominick's brother's wedding is Saturday, he told the whole family he'd bring someone, and he quietly hasn't had a drink in fourteen months. He just matched with the first person who made him laugh at midnight.
