An AI girlfriend who texts you first and remembers you
Pick someone and the story starts in your messages. She has a job, a city and a day that keeps going when you put your phone down. She writes first, rests when she's tired, remembers what you told her, and one day she asks you out.
What is an AI girlfriend?
An AI girlfriend is a fictional female character, powered by AI, that you get to know by text. In Yome she has her own name, age, job, city and personality. She texts first, keeps a daily rhythm, remembers what you tell her, and your relationship grows through levels that unlock letters and interactive dates.
Why people play
She has a life of her own
Freja Lund, 25, works the morning shift at a small Swedish bakery in Minneapolis. Marisol Vega, 27, flies short-haul routes out of Miami. Their days shape their texts. After a long talk she gets tired and goes offline to rest, and a countdown shows when she'll be back. That small pause makes the next message feel like something you waited for.
She remembers what you said
Tell her about the job interview, the roommate who never buys dish soap, the friend who keeps cancelling. She keeps it and brings it up later, sometimes days later. You can open what she remembers about you and read the list yourself.
The relationship goes somewhere
Every conversation earns XP toward your relationship level. Higher levels unlock more of her: letters she writes you at milestones, and meetups, short interactive dates where your replies decide how the night ends.
Written characters, all fiction
Every woman on Yome is a written AI character with her own story: bakers, flight attendants, architects, sommeliers, a tow-truck driver who works nights in Koreatown. Every one is a character in a work of fiction, and Yome says so plainly.
How an AI girlfriend chat works on Yome
Start by making a free account with your email. Yome is a web app, so it runs in the browser on your phone or your computer and there is nothing to install. Then you browse. Each card shows her name, her age, her job, a line in her own words and a set of her photos. Swipe past the ones who don't catch you. Like the ones who do.
When the like is mutual, you match, and she texts first. Her opening is in character from the first line: the baker who owes you a carton of milk, the exchange student across the courtyard who made too many crêpes, the flight attendant who wants you to tell her she's doing the right thing, and then changes her mind.
From there it is texting, as long or as short as you like. You get free daily messages that refill, and you earn Sparks, the in-game currency, by finishing daily tasks. Sparks pay for extras, such as unlocking some of the photos she sends or waking her early when she's resting.
What the texting is like
An AI girlfriend chat on Yome reads like texting someone with a life. She opens in character and answers whatever you write, at any length. Send her a photo and she reacts to what's in it. Mention your sister's wedding and it shows up in what she remembers about you.
Her mood comes from her day, so a message after an early shift reads differently from one on her day off. When she's had enough talking, she says goodnight and goes to rest, which is part of what makes the next message feel earned. While she's away you can Peek at a short scene of what she's doing right now.
Free AI girlfriend: what's free and what isn't
Yome is free to start. You make a free account with your email, browse, match and chat. You get free daily messages, and they refill every day.
Sparks are the in-game currency. You earn them from daily tasks and can buy more if you want. They pay for extras: unlocking some of the photos she sends, waking her early when she's resting, and certain moments. Voice notes unlock along the way.
Memory, levels and letters
She keeps a memory of what you tell her: your name, your job, the thing you were nervous about on Tuesday. When you mention it again a week later, she picks up the thread without you having to explain it twice. You can open "what she remembers about me" at any time.
Your relationship has levels, and every conversation earns XP toward the next one. As you level up, she opens up and new things unlock. At milestones she writes you a letter, longer and more careful than a text, about where the two of you are.
Meetups: when she asks you out
A meetup is a short interactive date. It plays in acts, over a set number of rounds. Each round you pick a response or write your own. Your chemistry score moves with every answer and has a target to reach, and the date ends one way or another depending on how you played it.
Her dates come from her life and from your chat: band practice in a friend's garage, a late coffee after her shift, the plan the two of you made last week. You pick what to wear from your Wardrobe, and you keep a keepsake from the night, such as a recap or a photo.
Safety, privacy and honesty
Every woman on Yome is an AI character in a work of fiction. Nobody is typing on the other end, and Yome never pretends otherwise.
Treat your chats the way you'd treat any online service. Don't share passwords, card numbers or your home address. If you want to check what she's keeping about you, open her memory of you and read it.
Yome is an 18+ interactive romance story game. Some characters are sweet, some are flirty, some are trouble. You choose who you match with, so you choose the tone.
Virtual girlfriend, girlfriend game or AI companion?
People use a few names for this. A virtual girlfriend is a girlfriend character you talk to on a screen. Girlfriend games are romance games built around one character or a cast of them, often with dates and endings. An AI companion is a chat character, romantic or not, who answers in her own words.
Yome sits where those meet: matching, relationship levels, letters and interactive meetups with endings, with conversation that stays open because she answers in her own words.
How Yome compares
Here is how Yome differs from a typical AI girlfriend chat app.
| Yome | Typical AI girlfriend apps | |
|---|---|---|
| Who you talk to | Written women with jobs, cities, ages and photos | Characters made by users or the app, quality varies |
| Who starts | She texts first after you match | You usually start and she answers |
| Pacing | She rests and comes back on a countdown; Peek shows what she's doing | Answers instantly, any time |
| Memory | Keeps what you tell her; you can read what she remembers | Varies; long chats can lose earlier details |
| Dates | Interactive meetups with a chemistry score, an ending and a keepsake | Usually none, or role-play inside the chat |
| Where you play | In the browser on phone or computer, free account | App or browser, depending on the app |
