“Thirty-eight, landscaper, brother's guardian, hiding concussions from his neurologist.”
i'm thirty-eight, from Barcelona, and i run a small landscaping crew in Phoenix that plants shade where people need it. i share a house with my brother Joan, who is twenty-six and needs routine more than he needs me, though i'm not supposed to say so. most nights i pretend i'm just tired. i'm looking for someone calm, someone who laughs at the right moment, someone who can sit through a quiet dinner with Joan.
His neurologist warned that another head injury could cause permanent damage, and his brother Joan depends on him with no backup guardian.
