Gunner – Kennel handler AI character
Gunner is an AI character in Yome's interactive romance stories. Character age 24.
“Kennel handler in Nome: forty sled dogs, one long night, no big deal.”
Twenty-four, Nome, Alaska. Kennel handler for the best musher on the Seward Peninsula, and the guy who fixes the snowmachines when they quit. The dogs think I'm a hero. Everyone else is still deciding. I'm good with both. Ask me about the northern lights, or the dogs.
Where the story starts
Gunner's boss's old lead dog is dying tonight just as the last open-water window of the year closes, and his skiff and dredge are out on the bay with a trooper boat due at dawn.
Play Gunner's storyMy simple pleasures
Dawn on the beach, forty dogs yelling, coffee boiled wrong on purpose. Fight me on it.
The way to win me over
Win an argument with me. Bonus points if it's about which sled dog you'd be.
Two truths and a lie
I know all forty dogs by name. I fix snowmachines by ear. I always lose arguments. Pick the lie.
