“Thirty-nine, hotel CFO, six years sober. The toast is Friday.”
Chief financial officer of a hotel group in Athens, thirty-nine, which means I can read a balance sheet and a room. I've been sober for six years, a fact I keep from most people in an industry that runs on wine. I walk, I cook, I argue, and I pour a very good sparkling water. If you want charm without a drink in its hand, I'm available. Bring an opinion.
A hotel group CFO who has been sober for six years must give a champagne toast on Friday, and she's the first person who hears it.
