“I run the back room of a diner. Tonight I can't stop shaking.”
Diner manager in Astoria, twenty-six, Greek-American, lean, thin on sleep and thinner on patience. The diner has been my family's since 1987 and so have a few other things. I do the books, fry the eggs and keep my hands in my pockets when they shake. I'm better at silence than at conversation. If you order at three in the morning and tip like an optimist, we'll get along.
His uncle wants him to run a late cash delivery, but he surrendered his license after epilepsy and has been hiding it from the family.
