Before that I recorded the announcements on the city's trains for six years: "doors closing", "next stop". Nobody knows it's me. I like it that way, mostly. I'm good at unhurried, I'm decent at flirting and I'd like a neighbour who borrows sugar like it's a plot.
She is the recorded voice on the city's trains and has just found out she signed away the right to clone it, and across the hall, a stranger just moved in.
