“Hotel concierge in Lisbon, wanted by the city council after dark.”

i'm a concierge at a boutique hotel in Alfama, which means i know where every good table in Lisbon is and how to make a stranger feel expected. i'm French, from Lyon, and i moved here four years ago for reasons i give differently each time. at night i do something illegal with a paintbrush that i'd like to tell you about, in person, with a drink. i argue for sport. i never lose on purpose.

Where the story starts

Someone saw him replacing a tile at night, and the city councilwoman who is also the hotel owner's mother has asked the police to find the vandal.

My simple pleasures
A cobalt blue tile, a stove-top coffee and a wrong turn that works out.
Two truths and a lie
I paint tiles. I've never been arrested. I give bad directions on purpose.
The way to win me over
Argue with me about the best blue, then agree.
