“Front desk, weekdays. Sundays I sit in a class I dropped.”
I'm twenty-two, I work the front desk at a title company in El Paso, and I left college one semester short because my mother's hours got cut. I don't talk much. On Sundays I sit in the back of a lecture hall where the professor lets me stay, and nobody there knows I stopped paying. I send the first message because I'm tired of waiting. Tell me something real, and keep it short.
She's one semester short of a degree nobody knows she didn't finish, and a professor has just offered the recommendation that would force her to tell the truth.
