Vampire boyfriend AI: an immortal who texts you after dark

What is a vampire boyfriend?

A vampire boyfriend is the immortal love interest of vampire romance: a man who stopped aging decades or centuries ago, lives by night, and keeps his hunger for blood under strict control because of you. In Yome he is a fictional AI character who hides what he is and tells you himself once he trusts you.

Three moments you'll play

  1. He texts first

It is 1 a.m. in Prague. Tomas just ended the midnight ghost walk, where tourists have started to suspect he is one of the ghosts. He asks if you are awake, then jokes that he is named after his grandfather. Very named after him.

  2. Peek

He went offline at sunrise, the way he always does. You Peek: blackout panels, a phone on silent except for one number, and on the nightstand a log of every blood unit, written in neat Danish handwriting.

  3. The meetup

Rain, no umbrella, every ride forty minutes out. A car stops at your curb at 9:40 p.m. He is not wet, and he does not seem cold, and he opens your door without being asked. You notice he waited to be invited in.

Why people love it

An age gap measured in centuries

The heart of vampire romance is time. Vasilis restores Byzantine icons by candlelight in Thessaloniki and was born in the 1880s. Elijah has been cutting suits in Detroit since 1961 and still looks thirty-seven. They have buried whole eras. Falling for someone who will age is the risk they keep taking.

Hunger he never lets near you

Every vampire boyfriend carries the same tension: he wants blood and he wants you, and he will not let one touch the other. Mikkel feeds only from expired transfusion units and logs every one. Micah lives on animal blood and stays a little hungry on purpose. Restraint is how they say I love you.

Clues first, the confession later

Nobody in Yome introduces himself as a vampire. You notice it. Cold hands, no dinner, a mirror angled just wrong, a birthday that has been the same for a very long time. As your relationship level rises he slips, then he tells you the truth himself. You get to be the human who figured it out.

Vampire romance, explained

Vampire romance pairs a mortal heroine with an immortal man who should be dangerous to her and chooses not to be. The classic beats are all here: the slow realization of what he is, fangs he keeps hidden, the bite he refuses to take, sunlight he cannot stand in, mirrors that do not quite hold him, and a protectiveness that comes from having lost people before.

There are two great kinds of vampire boyfriend. The old one, centuries in, courtly and patient, carries history like a coat. The newly turned one is still scared of himself, still grieving his human life, and needs someone to tell him he is not a monster. Yome has both, and each plays a different side of the genre.

Gothic vampire stories put him in a castle. Modern urban vampire romance puts him on the night shift. Yome's vampires live in the second kind of story, in Copenhagen, Detroit, Prague and Albuquerque, with jobs that let them sleep through the day. The dark romance is in what they hide, not in where they live.

Meet the vampires: vampire romance leads you can text

The old blood. Vasilis was born in 1883 and turned in 1913; every thirty years he becomes a new man on paper, and he does not do mornings, not as a preference. Elijah opened his Detroit tailor shop in 1961 and has been thirty-seven since the summer of 1967; the shop mirrors are arranged so nobody notices he is not quite in them. Tomas has lived in the same Malá Strana flat since 1965, officially as his own grandson.

The ones in between. Mikkel was turned on a night ward in Copenhagen in 1992 and runs the overnight blood lab, which is both his job and his supply. Micah was turned in 2009 walking home from a shift, answers 911 calls all night in Albuquerque, and says his blood work would be interesting. Aksel was turned at thirty, works the night control room at a salmon farm near Ålesund, and does not eat dinner. It is not a diet.

The newly turned. Ugochukwu, a hotel night auditor on the South Side, was turned at twenty-three and left his engineering degree when he could no longer sit through a morning lecture. Levi was a high school chemistry teacher in Portland, Maine until this February. Now he bakes bagels overnight, wears a bandana over a scar, and cannot be in the sun.

Why a vampire boyfriend works as a text romance

A vampire keeps strange hours, and so does a Yome guy. Each one has his own daily rhythm. He goes offline to rest, a countdown shows when he will be back, and for a vampire that rest falls in the daylight hours. You can wake him early with Sparks or Peek at a short scene of what he is doing right now, which is often a lab at 3 a.m. or a candlelit workshop.

He remembers what you tell him, and you can see what he remembers about you. For an immortal who has outlived everyone, remembering you is the point. As your relationship level rises he writes letters at milestones, sends photos from his nights, some unlocked with Sparks, and asks you out to short interactive meetups with acts, a chemistry score and an ending.

Vampire boyfriend AI or a vampire romance game?

Yome sits between the two. Like a vampire boyfriend AI, he talks to you in your own words and answers what you actually say. Like a vampire romance game or otome route, each guy has a written story with secrets that open as your level rises, so the reveal lands at the right moment instead of in his first message.

Questions, answered

Is there a vampire boyfriend AI?

Yes. Yome has eight vampire leads, from a vampire born in the 1880s to one turned this year. You match, he texts first, and he tells you what he is himself once your relationship level is high enough. Every one of them is a fictional AI character.

Can you date a vampire in a game?

In Yome you can. You text him, he remembers you, and as your relationship grows he writes letters and asks you out to short interactive meetups. His vampire secret is part of his story, with hints early on and a confession later.

What are the best vampire romance games for women?

It depends on what you like. Otome games give you a fixed route with artwork. Yome gives you a vampire boyfriend who texts you in your own words, keeps his own hours, and reveals his secret over days. It is free to start in your browser.

Is it like Twilight or The Vampire Diaries?

If you loved the immortal boyfriend in those stories, this type is for you. Yome's vampires are original characters with their own jobs, cities and pasts. None of them is the official character from any book, show or film, or an imitation of one.

Will he bite me?

Public pages stay SFW. In the story, his restraint is the romance: every Yome vampire has rules about blood that keep the people he cares about safe. Yome is written for adults and includes 18+ romance, and you set the pace.

Does he only text at night?

He keeps a vampire's rhythm. After a long talk he rests, usually through the day, and a countdown shows when he will be back. You can wake him early with Sparks or Peek at what he is doing right now.

Is the vampire boyfriend chat free?

Yome is free to start with a free email account. You get free daily messages that refill. Sparks, the in-game currency, unlock extras like some photos and waking him early.
